SOUTH ISLAND TEAM. (Per Press Association.) Dunedin, September 28. The selection of the South Island football team for the inter-island match is almost completed. The following players have been selected: — Full-back, Scott ( Otago); three-quar-ters, Guthrie (Canterbury), Lynch (South Canterbury),' Burns (Canteruury); five-eighths, Gray (Canterbury), Irvine (West Coast); half, Green (linller); forwards, Biggar (Southland), Williams, and Dalton (West Coast), Forbes and McDonald (Marlborough), Pattterson (Otago).
