MAN FIRES AT HIS SWEETHEART THEN COMMITS SUICIDE. Sydney, September 28. John attempted to murder his sweetheart, Gladys McKenna, and afterwards suicided in a. paddock near Orange. The girl was shot in the forehead by Roadie, there being two bullet wounds. The revolver contained only one discharged -cartridge, md it is supposed that Roachc shot MissMcKcnna,inflicted a slight wound to himself, wont homo, reloaded tho revolver, returned to the girl, and iftcnvards fatally shot himself. Miss' McKenna may recover. Jealousy was the cause.
