A very old settlor of Stratford— Mr. Robert Kirkpatrick—passed away this morning somewhat suddenly, at the age of id years. The late Mr. Kirkpatrick was the first engineer to tiie btratford Town Board. The funeral takes place on Friday, the corleaving the Catholic uhurch for tne Kopuatama Cemtery at 2 o’clock. Mr. C. B. Walsh offers the desirable premises now occupied by him for sale or to lease. Mr. C. B. Walsh, of Broadway, Stratford, having decided to give up his butchery business, publishes a notice in another column with regard to same. Mr Newton King has a house of G rooms and 10 acres of land for sale or to lot. Mr Newton King conducts a sale at the Haymarket and Mart on Saturday next. Special lines in ladies and children’s hats, Idolises, and other departments, arc notified at Mrs. McCallmn’s, Broadway, whore orders for plain sewing may also he left. Fabian is no huger employed by them, his services having been dispensed with by the company as from the 19th instant.* Those interested in the solution of the problems of life will bo glad to hear that Miss Christie will he lecturing in Stratford shortly on the subject.
