The anti-prize-fight campaign is gathering force, and there arc columns of protesting letters in the newspapers. An Influentially-signed memorial is being prepared. The Bishop of London has joined the agitation. Capetown, September 20. The “South African Nows” states that it is likely the Government will prohibit the importation of cinematograph light* pictures, fearing it will affect the native mind. St. Petersburg, September 20. M. Stolypin, on his death-bed, received a telegram from Berlin, signed by Bpgroff’s unhappy parents: “We are horrified at the dreadful deed performed by our senseless son, and pray God for your complete recovery.” The father was afterwards arrested on the frontier. The Czar; in a rescript, says: “The expressions of indignation reaching us on all sides, show that all right-minded people share in the resentment of the ruthless outrage committed in our presence on the Prime Minister, my true servant and courageous companion, while at his post.” The post-mortem reveals that the bullet shattered a rib and pierced the liver. Berlin, September 20. Two English yachtsmen have been arrested with three photographs of fin den harbour in their possession, they wCre liberated, but re-arrested.
