When tbo cases of the Minister for Customs v. the Australian Kodak Co., a claim for £20,0-10, penalty for alleged evasion of Customs’ duty, and the same plaintiff v. Harold Anthony 'Beauchamp for a like sum on the same allegations, were called before Mr -justice Edwards to-day the Solicitor-Gen-eral stated that-the actions had been settled. Defendant company had paid a £SOOO penalty, together with £IOOO to cover costs and unpaid duty.
