0 ERMAN EQUIVOCATION. PROVOKES FRENCH IRRITATION Paris, September 19. M. Gambon, the French Ambassador, has received the German .rejoinder. “Lo Temps” says there is an impression that tho reply will cause fresh French counter proposals. Tho paper adds that by provoking public irritation, Germany was incurring grave responsibilities. Her persistence and equivocation might load to something worse than financial ruin in Berlin, and remove the possibility of an agreement between extortionate Germany and angry France.
