LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL APPOINTMENTS. (Per Press Association ) Wellington, September 12. Questioned on the subject this evening, the Prime Minister stated that no appointments would be made until after the general election. He added that no consideration would be given to the subject until after the elections. Dunedin, September 12. As Messrs Barclay and McCarthy were the only nominations for Dunedin North and Chalmers, the local Labour Party approved their candidature. There , will be another ballot for Dunedin South and Dunedin Central before the Party’s selection is finally announced.
