CARDIFF BAND OF HOPE.
The overflowing audience at the entertainment on T nday last was a clear proof of the popularity of the cause, ine proceedings were entiuisiastic, and each item was well rendered and heartily applauded. Tne garnering was a great success, the only drawback being die absence of Mr h . dross ley, tne energetic secretary, througn indisposition. Tne following varied programme was rendered: —Tianoforte solo, Miss dlair; recitation, Miss HahcocK; song, Miss I''. \Volrc; pianoforte duet, Miss C. and Mr R. banders; dialogue, •Mon and Women’s Rights,” Misses Hancock and Lacey, and Messrs. C. Marchant and Hancock; recitation, Mr. Belton; song, Miss Sanders; speech by the Chairman, Rev. C. C. xiainsou; pianoforte solo, Miss C. Smith; song, Mrs. Bridgei ; dialogue, “Engaging a Cook,” Misses and Master atcraugen and Miss David; musical sketch, Messrs. Wolfe; recitation, Vliss lionnoll; solo, Cordon Lrey; company song, “Will ion Come and Join Our Baud of Hopeh” A liberal collection was taken up, and all helpers were warmly thanked.
