OBITUARY.

MRS. THOMAS KING. The death occurred yesterday at New Plymouth of Mrs. King, relict of the late Mr. Thomas King, at the ripe ago of 93 years (says tho ‘‘News'). The deceased lady came to New 1 lymouth in the ship “Amelia ihompson” in 1842. The late Mr. King was •die first manager of the Bank of New Zealand in New Plymouth, and ho afterwards farmed successfully at Mangorei. Mrs. King was one ol our most respected settlers, and enjoyed the respect and esteem of all. Dr. Trilby King, Messrs. Newton King, and Henry King, and Mrs. F. \\ . Mareliant (of Timaru) • comprise her family. Mrs. King was a sister of the late Mr. Richard Chilman, and aunt, of tho late Mrs. T. Wilson.
