ANGRY SCENES. London, September 10. Tlioro were angry scones at Newcastle when Mi. oexton, representing the Catholic' Liverpool dockers, denounced Mr. W. Thorne’s resolution / ii» favour of secular education. A motion of approval was nevertheless carried by a large majority. A cablegram was read from Now South Wales asking Mr. Kcir Hardio to deny Mr Fisher’s alleged statement tiiat tnoro is plenty of room for miners in Australia.
