After speeches had been iHado'hy resident and visiting natives, Mr.v'T’opcno Ekitono addressed tlio gathferihg, followed by Mr. Ngata and Sir Jamris Carroll. The subjects disfitSed ihdluded _Mabri customs, combing the Maoris of both islands,'* region, laws ftf the country, and the yßuhg ‘Maori party. On Sunday aftcrÜbdfi Over one thousand natives wore addressed by the Rev. Dawson (secrctary to, the New Zealand Alliance), ah'd-Mt. Issitt, M.P., on the temperance .question, in view of the coining Maori poll. A large pakeha gatheriiig was addressed by these speakers in ’the evening. The gathering dispersed to-day. '
