ACTIVE SUBMERGED VOLCANO. (Per Press Association.) Melbourne, September 0. Admiral King Hall announces that the warship Torch reported an active submerged volcano in latitude 20dog. uOmin. south, longtitudo 17odeg. 33 min. west. The minimum depth of water is fifty fathoms. It is believed the volcano is on a submerged island near Tongatabu, sixty miles south-south-west of the Friendly Islands.
