A SEAMAN DROWNED. Sydney, September 4. From Noumea comes the nows that the French barque Rochambeau, from Glasgow to Tchio, coal laden, went ashore on the Maine reef, on the east coast of New Caledonia, on August 31. She is in a critical positiqn and almost full of water. One seaman was drowned and the remainder, were rescued by the French cruiser Kersaint.
