CASINO RAIDED. Lisbon, September 3. A crowd attacked the staff of a casino at Ris Mairo owing to a report that the roulette tables wore faked. Two persons were killed and several injured and two thousand pounds wore stolen. SERIOUS TRAIN SMASH. St. Petersburg, September 3. Twenty-nine persons were severely injured in a train smash near Kielco. PLAGUE AT MAURITIUS. Mauritius, September 3. A caso of plague is reported. GERMANY AND AMERICA. Berlin, September 3. The Kaiser at Potsdam unveiled a. replica of the monument to tiro German-American General Steuben at Washington and cabled Mr Taft asking him to convey his hearty thanks to Congress for the beautiful present. Ho added that lie was happy to know of the friendship of the two nations. FIGHT WITH ROBBERS. Berlin ,September 3. The police surprised seven robbers who were breaking a safe in a builder’s premises in Northern Berlin. Shots wore exchanged and two of tht robbers were seriously and five slightly injured. Five were arrested. Two officers were wounded.
