FOOD RIOTS.
DISAFFECTION SPREADING. Paris, September 1. There is more rioting in St. Quentin. A number of butchers’ shops were wrecked. Six policemen were injured and the rioters wore dispersed by tho military. Twenty-one arrests were made. Residents of Doual seized the goods market. Minors are conferring with a view to the reduction of freights on produce. An official note declares that the food riots, particularly at St.' Quentin and Valenciennes, are degenerating into an insurrection movement which is spreading, arid which is more revolutionary than economic.
