Hearty services and a warm welcome.* On Tuesday, September sth, Mr. Newton King sells Got) head of mixed cattle at the Stratford sale yards. A competent man to do farm and general work is wanted. Special attention is directed to the sale of Jersey cattle which Mr. Newton King is holding at Junction Road, New Plymouth, on Friday, September Bth, on account of Mr. Jno. Hale, when some 41 choice pedigree and grade cows will he olfercd. The herd is an exceptionally line one, having been very carefully built up by the vendor, who has gone to considerable expense in obtaining only the choicest milking strains. 'The cattle are all whole fawn in colour, in the best of condition, and it would bo hard to find :l more handsome herd of Jerseys in the Dominion. Every ccw has been carefully tested, and full and authenticated tests will be supplied at the sale. A pedigree will bo supplied with most of the cows, but as Mr. Halo has always considered butter-fat of primary importance, ho lias not registered any of the herd in the X.Z.J. Herd Book. A brake for intending buyers will leave the Mart at 1.1.30 a.m. An ordination of elders will tfike place at the Presbyterian Church service at 2.30 p.m. in the Toko Church on Sabbath iirst (to-morrow).
