WHARF THEFTS.
ACCUSED SENTENCED., (Per Press Association.) Auckland, September 2. Three of the four persons charged with the theft of goods from the wharf sheds wore sentenced this morning by Mr, Justice Chapman. Arthur Glover, found guilty of the forgery of a telegram, was sentenced to nine.months; A. E. Hadden, who had participated in the thefts, two years; Joseph Ehrman, four years each on the hist and scio-.yi counts (.cumulative), and four years eacii on the third and fourth counts (concurrent), making a total of eight years, and declared a habitual criminal. 'J lie Judge, however, intimated that ho was doubtful if he could acid the declaration of habitual - criminel. He would state a case for tiie Court M' .Anneal. Mclntyre, the fourth accused, has to stand a second trial owing ao tne jury disagreeing.
