A NARROW ESCAPE.
(Per Press Association.) Blenheim, September 2. Last night one of tlie spans of a bridge on Brownlee’s tramline, Belarus Valley, gave way, and a locomotive witii several trucks fell into tho river, a distance of 200 feet. Tlie driver, David Young, had a marvellous escape. He jumped clear, sustaining severe injuries about/ the head, but otherwise was uninjured.
