(Per Press Association.) Auckland, September 1. A child named Irene Dolsie McCabe died in the hospital as a result of scalds. The mother of the child stated at the inquest, that she was lifting a pot of boiling soup off the fire and. accidentally spilt some on the baby, who was playing with a toy on the floor.
