AMUSEMENTS.

' HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. ' The second programme for the week ■Was submitted at His Majesty’s Theatre list night before an appreciative audience. The chief dramatic picture was “The Vampire,” showing in vivid scen'es the doings of an adventuress, “The Road Agents” and “The Outbreak” deal with Western American life, providing the necessary quantity of horse-riding, pistol-firing dud nigged scenery. “Cain” is a short but vivid tale of the tribulations of a murderer. The industrial film “Artificial Flower-making” is highly interesting, the whole operation of producing artificial flowers being shown. Two fine coloured scenic films were sbreened—“Amongst the Parsees of Bombay” and “The Rapids, MagdaUis.” The latter was especially good, introducing river scenery of great grandeur, and well illustrating the arduoUs task of making one’s way up the fapids in canoes and the exhilarating occupation of coming down them. ‘'The New Stenographer” is the chief* bomic film, and is of a highly divertihg character, providing a series of sidC-solitting situations in connection with, a very ugly and a very Uretty stenographer, the climax being very humorous. “The Widow’s Choice*’ shows the danger of single young men having matrimonially attractive fathers, and “The Village Flirt” supplies much broad humour. .The programme will be repeated this evening and at matinee and evening performances on Saturday. It was announced last night that the nfew picture projecting machine would be used at Saturday’s evening performance. CORONATION SKATING RINK.
