DOCTOR CHARGED WITH MURDER. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. United Press Association. Melbourne, August 30. Dr. Peacock has been arrested on a charge of murdering Mary Davies. A young man named Poke alleges that the doctor performed an illegal operation, that Davies died, and tnat Peacock disposed of the body, which cannot bo found. Detectives raided Peacock’s private hospital and found jewellery and portions of burnt clothing which have been identified as having belonged to Davies.
