Favoured, w js|i.a fine, cool evening, the patrohs of the; social inaugurated by the, Stratford branch of the U.A. O.D. had a hiCe‘;evening’s amusement in the foresters’ Hall last night. About thirty couples were present, the ladies being iff greater numbers than the 5 gents. The principal factor of a good dance—the music—was in the capable management of Mrs Bianchi : i bud Mr Cameron, and was excellent indeed.; , Mr Ryan kindly assisted -with the extras, and at the latter end of the evening Bernard’s orchestra was in 'attendance and played in first-class style for several dances. The only singing during the evening was that of Mr W. Ryan and Mr G. Allan, both of which were much appreciated. The Druids wish to extend their thanks to those friends who assisted in the management of the social, and especially the ladies committee for their valuable help during supper time.
