About thirty couples were present, the ladies being iff greater numbers than the 5 gents. The principal factor of a good dance—the music—was in the capable management of Mrs Bianchi : i bud Mr Cameron, and was excellent indeed.; , Mr Ryan kindly assisted -with the extras, and at the latter end of the evening Bernard’s orchestra was in 'attendance and played in first-class style for several dances. The only singing during the evening was that of Mr W. Ryan and Mr G. Allan, both of which were much appreciated.
