KOHURATAHI NOTES.
(By “Grip.”) Several fresh cases of measles have broken out in this district. It would seem that “misfortune comes by the yard and goes by the inch,” for measles are a most inconvenient complaint, as the unfortunate victims are barred from even mixing with their kinus. Especially is it hard when, as in one or two homes, both mother and children are down. The symptoms ot a cold and drowsiness have caused more than one to adopt the war-cry “Measles.” However, ’midst our troubles, wo are still very much alive, for “political measles” are following, and we are all looking forward to a “mcaslcy time.” , Messrs. J. McCartie and C. McCartio are building a billiard saloon in the Kohuratahi on a site purchased from Mrs. Hight.
