Their explanations were not considered satisfactory, and two were killed on the spot, the third having his hoard torn, out by the roots, and tiding otherwise shockingly maltreated. The mother of one victim, who witnessed the fate of her son. procured poison, and took a fatal dose in the open street. The crowd wore not content with what they had accomplished ; they want to the house of the injured man, and murdered his father. They then oufored another house, killed the owner, an old man, and left, ids son dying. Three more peasants were beaton’almost to death in the public square he Toro the fury of the people luid spent itself. On the following day the autlnritios, with a strong force of police, arrived in the village, and over sixty peasants were arrested. They are in prison pending trial.
