TONKING'S £IOO GIFT.

’The donation of £IOO promised by the proprietors of Tonking’s Linseed Emulsion to any institution or charity sol acted by tho public, will bo made towards tiic cost of providing books for tho Levin Public Library. The voting throughout has caused even tho enumerators considerable excitement. Tho £IOO looked like going first to one town, then to another, and it would appear as though tho public were aware of every fluctuation, for no sooner did one institution lead than another came to the front. However, towards the finish the Levin Free Library was seen to lie tho winner, and wo congratulate the townspeople of Levin on their good foruue.*
