HUGE FOREST FIRES.
IN NEWFOUNDLAND. St. Johns (Newfoundland), Aug. 27. An immense forest lire is threatening the pulp mills in the Exploit > River district. The workmen employed by the, Hannsworth mills are fire-fighting. A huge area of the country is threatened. Later. The wind' veering saved the pulp mills at Bishop’s Falls, but- enormous destruction was done to forest health.
