ANNUAL REPORT. The report to be presented at the annual meeting of the Cardiff Dairy Factory Company, which is to be held in the Cardiff Schoolroom this evening, is as follows:—“The high prices expected induced your directors to continue butter-making until February Ist, a course that proved unfortunate. It is reassuring to know that our butter and cheese gave complete satisfaction, and reolised the best prices that were going. The retiring directors are Messrs. Richards and Susans, and Mr. Wolfe has resigned. An auditor for the ensuing year has to be appointed, and his remuneration fixed.
The following records of last season’s operations are given:—Buttermaking (August 23rd to February sth): Milk 5,358,72311), test 3.8. butter fat 203i.7341b, butter 234,7131 b, milk to butter 22.83, cheese to butter-fat 1.15; cheese making (February 6th to June 3rd); milk 2,364,4611 b, test 4.22, butter-fat 99,9261 b, cheese 251,8761 b, milk to cheese 9.39, cheese to butter-fat 2.52. In accordance with notice Mr. Murdoch will move: “That future annual meetings be held on the last Monday in July, in the day-time.” The balance-sheet shows that the receipts for the year were £15,780 3s Id, including £10,057 2s 3d for butter and £5679 19s 9d for cheese. The expenditure totalled £15,437 2s 6d, milk costing £13,126 4s 3d. Factory working expenses absorbed £1777 7s 9d (including depreciation £160), ailu general expenses £528 9s 4d. A credit balance.of £343 0s 7d is shown on the year’s working.
