o ANOTHER STEAMER LAUNCHED

(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, August 25

The now steamer Maunganui, built to the order of the Union Company by tho Fairfield Engineering Co., Glasgow, was successfully launched on Thursday. The christening ceremoney was performed by Miss M. Ritchie, daughter of Mr J. M. Ritchie. The Maunganui is to leave Homo in October, and is due at Melbourne abount the middle of December, when she will enter the inter-colonial service. SJio will bring a large number of passengers for Melbourne and Sydney on her maiden trip.
