per day until the original distance of 10,000 miles was completed successfully. So encouraged with his faith in his ear strengthened, Mr Siddcley resulved to send tlio ear noon a fur-
ther 50(H) miles to complete the 15,000, and so achieve a record for this class, ol performance. The extra lasl-: was also brought to a satisfactory and successful conclusion at 5.30 p.m. on the I.oth inst.. no involuntary stop having occurred throughout. Tt has been proved conclusive!v that hard driving on Brooklands is even a more searching test than ordinary road work, ami as, wo rmdoi stand, the “J.D.S.” Deary was driven throughout some fifty per cent, faster than could have obtained on the road, the severity of the tost can in nai I lie realised.
