A REQUIEM MASS. iPer Press Association.) Y/ellington, August 22. This morning, a solemn pontificial requiem mass was celebrated for the repose of the soul of the la to Cardinal Moran. There was a crowded congregation, including many representative citizens, fifty bluejackets from H.M.S. Challenger, and a number of school cadets. Mass was sung by Archbishop Redwood. The Rev. Father Devoy (St. Anne’s, Newton) was assistant priest: Dean J. McKenna (Masterton), Deacon; the Very Rev. Father Holley (Wanganui), Sub-Deacon; and the Very Rev. Father Hickson (Thorndonj, Master of Ceremonies. At tho altar there were about forty clergy of the arch-diocese. Archbishop Redwood preached on the life of the departed prelate.
