The comic element is brought more to tho fore in this week’s- bill than it has ever boon, and tho ycbmics promise to bo huge laughter-creators. WEST’S' PICTURES. At the Town Hall to-morrow night "West’s Pictures will submit a new programme of pictures, tho chief features being pictures dealing with the Coronation. Speaking of these pic-tures,-the- Wanganui “Chronicle” sa ys:—“The fine programme shown at the Lyceum for the first time on Monday evening drew arothcr largo audience last evening. The whole programme is a splendid one, though the qhief interest, of course, centres around tiio Coronation pictures. Croat as wore tho.previous pictures of the Coronation, they are quite eclipsed by tho present series, and the audience was aroused to enthusiasm. The former picture shows tho magnitude of the procession on the occasion of their Majesties’, first visit to the city as crowned heads of Great Britain. iho marching of tho troops, the Indian princes, the Feld-Marshals (mounted), and the colonial contingent form a striking spectacle. Tho man with tfie camera obtained a remarkably. clear likeness of their Majesties, particularly at the Guildhall, .where- tho King was presented with the Sword of State and the Freedom of tho City. At this point the King and Queen,’ with the Prince of Wales and Princess Mary, aro only a few feet away, and are almost lifelike. The illuminations at night are a most inspiring sight. Tho crowds thronging, the streets are so dense that the ’buses, are practically wedged in by the huge concourse, not a speck of the roadway being visible. Next followed the great ing one. No one should miss seeing this magnificent series, as they realty constitute an education.” In addition a full range of general pictures will be shown.
