WHOLESALE CLUB.

VOLUNTARILY WOUND UP. (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, August 19. At a private meeting of the creditors of the Wholesale Club, Limited, held to-day, a motion was agreed to affirming that creditors were in favour of the voluntary winding up of the Wholesale Club, Ltd., on the ground that delay would bo avoided and expense saved by this course. The. motion was carried, creditors representing £BOOO supporting it, as against creditors representing £2OOO opposing it. The latter included the petitioning creditors whose claims would be about £IOOO. Considerable discusion ensued regarding the appointment of liquidators, and the names of various public accountants were proposed and rejected in turn. The meeting eventually decided to recommend the chairman, Air H. J. Marrincr and Air Karl Joosten, public accountants, their remuneration not to exceed 2-i por cent, on the amount of assets in the hands of the. official interim liquidators.
