Mr Redmond, M.P., cabled to the late Cardinal Moran’s secretary tho Irish party’s sorrow. At the request of the Irish Party Mr W. Redmond, jun., M.P., is returning from Brisbane to represent tho party at Cardinal Moran’s obsequies. WHO IS TO SUCCEED? (Received 19, 8.5 a.m.) Sydney, August 19. The impression is that if the Australian Cardinalate is to bo continued, Archbishop Carr, of Melbourne, will succeed Cardinal Moran, he being senior to Archbishop Kelly. MESSAGES OF SYMPATHY. (Received 19, 9.15 a.m.) Sydney, August 19. Messages of sympathy and tributes to the late Cardinal Moran have been received from all parts of the Com-monwealth--from all classes of tho community, including the Anglican Archbishop.
