Hansen for the payment of £7 6s 6d, the cost of a suit of clothes and an extra pair of trousers. Judgment debtor pleaded that lie had not had the money necessary to pay the debt, but counsel elicited the ‘fact that debtor had been present with a young lady at the performance of “The Bad Girl of the Family,” the evening’s entertainment costing him eiglit shillings. The S.M. said a man who could afford to patronise entertainments could afford to pay his debts, and made an order for the payment of the amount forthwith, in default fourteen days’ imprisonment, warrant to bo suspended for a month.
