A number of items on the order paper of the Agricultural Conference to-day dealt with the improvement of agricultural shows and kindred institutions. , A motion that the Minister be asked to establish a research scholarship especially devoted to agriculture, if possible to embrace a travelling allowance, if the appointee prefers to pursue his work in other countries, was rejected, and the conference decided to consider what steps could he taken to increase the usefulness of agricultural associations ind agricultural shows.
