ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

(Per Press Association.) Gisborne, August 15. A woman named Mrs Agues Christie, living with her brother at Lytton road, died in the hospital to-night. When seen this morning at. 10.30 by her sister-in-law she appeared to be all right, but five minutes later deceased was found lying on the floor witli her face flushed and apparently in great pain. She was removed to the hospital, and died at eight o’clock this evening. When found on t.be floor she told her sister-in-law that she had taken some brandy, but a bottle of lysol was found on tbe dresser. Some months'ago deceased’s sou was drowned in the Waimata River, and since then she has been rather melancholy. An inquest is to be held to-morrow.
