TOWN PLANNING.
HON. G. FOWLDS WITHDRAWS HIS BILL. (For Press Association!) Wellington, August 14. The Hon. 6. Fowlds has decided not to proceed with his Town Planning Bill in consequence of the alteration made in committee on Friday night, taking away the power of the Gover-nor-in-Council. Mr Fowlds says he does not think members generally understood the significance of the vote given on Friday night, as it would mean, if given effect to, the establishment of. bureaucratic government in this country.
