ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES.

NORTH ISLAND GAINS A SEAT. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, August 11. Tho boundaries of electorates, as revised by the Representation Commission arc expected to appear in the Gazette to-day. The .South Island loses the Taieri seat and the Noi th island gains Raglan, which will be the name of the new eleetorate, mostly taken from Waikato and partly from- .TaumaruntfiV'tend Tauranga; it will include the towers of Raglan and Kavvhia. ■ Waikato;’:,has im-ieased so nuigli .that, additional percentage, it showed a population cl 18,(100; Taumarnnui has 19,215.

Later. Tho proposed boundaries of the electoral districts have been gazetted. Written objections will be received to noon on September 13t.1i, and beard the next day, tiro North island at Wellington. Stratford District comprises part of the Waitara West Road Distiict, south of Cross. Road, Huiraugi Village, and Waitara River, formerly included in tlie Tanmarumu electorate, and the remaining portion of the Mon riding .ofi (Taranaki County not included, in tho Taranaki electoral district, - hereinbefore desciibcd; the whole, of the Whaugamomona County; the whole of the North-cast and Mangaehu Rulings ,of the Stratford County ; and that portion of tho Stratford County lying iu the cast- of the Wellington-New . Plymouth railway; the whole of O.mona Riding of Eltham County; that portion of the Elfham Riding of tho Eltham County lying to the east of the road intersecting sections 41 and 42, forming the eastern boundary of section -14, intersecting section 53 by Sangster Road, Maata Road, Maugawhero Road, and Mangimangi stream f the whole of the Meremere riding of the Hawora County, and that portion of Ararat.! Riding included in the existing .electoral district of Egniont; also that portion of Kapara Riding of the Pa tea County lying to the north of the boundary between the land districts of Wellington and Taranaki and the Waitara River. The Stratford electorate loses Inglewood borough only, but extends nor !;- ward, and includes part of the Waitara West Road District, and also Stratford County east of the Railway; it runs around the hack of .Eltham borough, takes in and Omoana in the. Eltham County, and from there runs up to the XJppyr Waitotara. Inglewood goes with Taranaki.
