(Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, August 10. The Auckland Boxing Association has decided to support the Taranaki Association’s protest against the noninclusion of Maxwell, who Avon the Noav Zealand lightweight championship at Invercargill, in the team for Australia.

At the meeting of the Northern Boxing Association, Mr. Burke, manager of the Auckland team, which competed at the recent championships asserted that the Nbav Zealand Council Avas neither of use nor ornament. Any remit not submitted by the Council, themselves avus promptly throAvii out. Hegarty had not competed at the last tAvo championship carnivals,. yet ho Avas chosen for the Australasian championships, hold at Auckland, being defeated there, and still Avas selected for the forthcom-
