D., Sewell, writing to the newspapers,',; says that among these who have Accepted tlie Marylchono Club’s invitation to ;■ join the team for Australia, there is included no first-class first or second slip,. while Hobbs is the only first-class long field. Sewell suggests the inclusion of A. H. Hornby ! (Lancashire) arid P. Mead (Hampshire).. Mead heads the batting averages with 591, Sjpooncr 55; Kinnoar, Hayward and Herrin 51, and Fry 53.
