THE BUTTER MARKET.
London, August 4. Weddell and Co.’s annual report states that the imports of Australian and New Zealand and Canadian butter for the year ended Juno 30 were 01,023 tons, and imports from foreign countries 161,707 tons. The total is the largest on record by 3513 tons. The firm anticipates higher prices for butter and cheese next season, owing to the drought.
