They used Hawkcs’ Exccllsior S morons Band instruments—a complete set. iu tho first test piece this noted Wellington Band was allotted the maximum number of points, G.c judge dueling that ho had never heard better playing, and commending in eulogistic terms tho tone and blend. The Wellington Tramway Band, also using a complete set of Hawkcs’ Excelsior Instruments, won the B grade. The judge congratulated this band on their playing. These two successes in Grade A and Grade B, on such a groat occasion, are worthy wins for Hawkcs, whoso instruments are pre-eminent all over tho world. Bandsmen!
