STRATFORD’S A. AND P. SHOW.
(To the Editor “Stratford Post.”) Sir, —it would be a bad indication oi tiio prosperity of Taranaki a tne aisiiiai prognostication oi Mr. RawTes at file uany Company's meeting came to pass, i rotor to unat gentleman's reference to tne Stratforci A. arid T. Association, toeeing tiiai tne memOorsnip or this Association is made up not only of members from Stracforu and district, but tiuougnout the whole of Taranaki, and is admittedly one of the most up-to-date snows in the Dominion, it cannot be otherwise than a relies of the prosperity ot the province. A isitois to istr.itfoid attending the first show stated publicly that o,..inuia was unique Wxiii Us show insomuch that it was questioned if a snow with such appointments, and support over came into existence in so snort a time, at least in the colonies. The visitors who stated this were men who had a long experience of shows in different Linds, so can be credited with knowing what they were talking Si bout. However, Mr. Kawles is not singular in his croaking: lie is croaking in company with a. few other ravens, hut it is good to know that there arc a large number of people in Taranaki, particularly in Stratford and district, who arc proud of our show, and are determined, in spite of the ravens, to make each show hold better than the hist. The membership of the. Association is the best part of a thousand, and will unquestionably roach those figures in a very short time. ‘ As a tonic to Mr. Rawles’ dismal feelings. I would suggest that he work off a little of Iris bile by active assistance on the Association’s general or executive committee.—l am, etc., MEMBER S.A. AND P.A. Stratford, August 2nd, 1911.
