The visitors who stated this were men who had a long experience of shows in different Linds, so can be credited with knowing what they were talking Si bout. However, Mr. Kawles is not singular in his croaking: lie is croaking in company with a. few other ravens, hut it is good to know that there arc a large number of people in Taranaki, particularly in Stratford and district, who arc proud of our show, and are determined, in spite of the ravens, to make each show hold better than the hist. The membership of the. Association is the best part of a thousand, and will unquestionably roach those figures in a very short time. ‘ As a tonic to Mr. Rawles’ dismal feelings.
