Mr Holman had a second interview with the Lieutenant-Governor, who asked him to withdraw the resignations of the Government, and granted the condition asked for, namely, that Parliament prorogue over the byelections. Mr Holman consented, and the prorogation will lie issued to-mor-row. In the meantime the Government continues in power. MR DUNN’S APPLICATION. Sydney, July 31. The Central Executive of the Political Labour League decided to consider Mr Dunn’s application for nomination.
