It is declared that the Farmers’ Free List Bill, the compromised Wool Dili and probably the Cotton Bill will he passed, all lowering the duties.

The main intention of the Farmers’ Free List Bill is to recompense agricultuiisis for probable loss under the Canadian reciprocity agreement. Mr Taft is pledged to await the report of the Tariff Board before assenting. to new tariff legislation. Consequently the President is likely to bo compelled to veto the above measures, which have been passed by a Republican vote.
