JERSEY BREEDERS’ ASSOCIATION.
(Per Press. Association.) ■ ,iAuckland, July 28. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Jersey Cattle Breeders’ Association, held this morning was attended by forty representative breeders of the Dominion. Tl 10 report stated that the membership was two hundred, and the association was financially. in.,a sound condition. The work of the association had doubled during the last year, and trebled since 1909. In the next Stud Book would he the names of dllß registered Jersey stock. Air Watson, president, emphasised the need for thoroughly testing herds, and the culling and slaughter of stock that failed in the tests. The Governor has accepted the office of patron. Air A. PI. Halcomhe, Xlrenui, was elected president; Air W. M. Taft, Onehnnga. and Air AX . A . Blackness, vice-presidents ; Mr AV. H. Booth, Carterton, and Air AV. A . Harkness till the vacancies on the ! boltncil. I
