John Bowron, examined ill the Bankruptcy Court, said his failure was duo to the less of £IOO,OOO owing to the rise in raw materials in the autumn of 1907. The balance-sheet of 1900 showed a deficit of £50,000, and by 1909 the deficiency was £125,800. Bowron Bros., of New Zealand, forgave debts to the extent of £78,000 between 1905 and 1907. Tho Divorce Court granted a husband a divorce because his wife left him and declined to allow overtures for her return on the high mexfal ground that she had formed an afanother man, and did not think it right to live with her busband while such a. feeling for another existed. The Judge said that though there uvas not the slightest suggestion of immorality, or impropriety by the wife, she had committed an offence against the divorce law, and he must grant a divorce.• N ,
