At Stratford yards to-morrow, Mr. Newton King will hold a stock sale on account of Mr. W. Newman, of Strathmore. To-morrow Mr. Newton King will hold a sale on account of Messrs. Hregman Bros., at Robaon Road. 1 lie N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have been favoured witii instructions from Mr. G. A. Eagles to conduct a clearing sale at Toko ou July 81st. Mr. Newton King’s next Stratford horse fair will he hold on Saturday, August sth. Cm Saturday next, Messrs. Gillies and N alder sell CO horses at the Dominion horse bazaar. Princes Street, Haw era. On Wednesday next, July 26th, Messrs. Young, Hobbs and 0., hold a stock sale at the Eltliam sale yards. Messrs. Gillies and Nukier hold a stock sale at the Glover Road yards, Hawera, on Thursday next, the 27th iust. The proprietors of Uonnington’s Irish Moss notify in another column that an action was commenced by them in the Auckland Supreme Court, on the 31st May, 1811, asking for an injunction and damages against an Auckland manufacturer for infringing their trade mark for Bonniagtou’s Irish Moss, and selling Irish Moss not manufactured by them. This action was settled by the defendant consenting to the injunction and paying damages and costs. The firm intimate that they will at once commence proceedings against any other person who may sell, or attempt to sell, under their trade mark, any ■nutation thereof of Irish Moss not manufactured by them.

Montgomerie, who was lately stock agent for the Loan and Mercantile, Stratford, lias started at Je Arolia ns a. land and stock and general commission agent, and will, he pleased to see old Taranaki friends. Owing to rumours being circulated that lie is in partnership with Mr. J. D. _Movison, Mr. Montgomerie wishes -it to be known that be is working solely on his own account.
