THE KING’S PRIZE. WON BY A CANADIAN. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. United Press Association. London, July 23. Private Clifford, a Canadian cabinetmaker, aged 32, won the King’s prize with a score of 319. Grant, of South Africa, was second with 315, and Sergt. Ommundsen third with 313. Parish, of Australia, was fifteenth with a score of 302. He won £lO. Hay made 302 and won £lO. The ( successful New Zealanders were:— Marenzi 297, Capt. Mac Knight 297, Cox 295, Loveday 289, and Roots 280, each winning £5. Hay filled ninth place in the St. George’s Challenge Vase and won £lO. Lord Kitchener distributed the prizes.
