TOKO BAZAAR.
The bazaar opened again yesterday at 2 o’clock, and continued ..open until 10. Business was somewhat quiet during the afternoon, therefore the ladies connected with the various stalls seized the opportunity of having a well-earned rest. After tea matters livened up considerably, a good number of people turning up for further fun and excitement. The takings for the day amounted to £25, thus bringing the total up to £lls. In your report of the various stalls the lady and assistants in charge of the tea rooms were not mentioned. This essential and very busy department was managed by Mrs. Riley, who was ably assisted by the Misses Shields, Cartwright, Were, and Hine. Others who worked well in various parts of the hall were Mesdames D. S. Maxwell and W. Pratt, the Misses Lcydon (3), Clark, Coleman, Cameron, Bain, Corbett, and others too numerous to mention.
Songs were rendered by Mrs. W. L. Kennedy, Miss Sangster, and Miss Fieldes, also by Messrs. N. Way and R. Kennedy; these items being much appreciated. The bazaar will conclude to-night with an auction sale, and a busy time for all is anticipated. The hall committee has decided to hold a social and dance on Thursday evening next, in honour of the bazaar committee and ladies who have helped so well with the function, and a record house is naturally expected.
